Low cost, a sweet sin… People have cravings, women perhaps even more, if not, how do we explain publicity’s point? We see a tv commercial announcing a delicious ice cream and it is hard not to feel tempted. Now, imagine seeing a breath taking dress on a magazine, we would like to get it right? That very dress or a similar one, but think again living with no hope of fulfillment.

Sometimes we go for gourmet, others for fast food, and as analogy this can be applied to fashion. Sometimes we indulge ourselves with a little luxury, but for the everyday the truth for most is to go for the affordable. Thankfully retail pleases everyone, providing clothing inspired in the now or trending, and more often in designer proposals, by which it is commonly identified as copy… but is it accurate to tag it as such?

Leaving aside the sensible topic of labour ( which not often is linked to low prices) and without being in defense of replicas and copyright infringement, it is fear to remark that many of the designer proposals out there, aren’t as original as one can expect, but inspired, adapted and reinvented. For example, what started with Balencioga’s rescue for the flamenco flownces in ss 2013 has been a trend followed by other big names in fashion. It is equally fear to say that no label or designer from now days can claim as its own the popular off the shoulder tops or bomber jackets as they’ve been around long time ago. Not to mention the hand bag models high end brands seem to share. So, should low cost be a taboo? Of course not, God bless low cost,

Zaful Look

Today I want to share this outfit with the democracy of both, denim and low cost. I had mention before that Zaful invited me to try their garments, and since I’ve been looking for a denim maxi skirt for loooong time, as soon as I saw this one at Zaful I made my mind, definitely a piece for many years to come and pleasing whether for casual or chic. I’ve decided to combine it with this off the shoulder top which details evoke a bit of Proenza Schouler SS16 and also something seen during MBFWA, inspired but not exact copy ..so no dramas and taboo.

As you know, I wouldn’t recommend anything I wouldn’t try myself… and while most of you might be skeptical about buying onlne specially with so many low cost sites out there, I can tell by experience that Zaful has a good selection of items and you won’t be disappointed if you carefully chose and compare.If you’re looking for something similar I invite you to have a look to Zaful‘s page!

Low cost, un dulce pecado…. las personas somos propensas a los antojos y nosotras las mujeres quizá un poco mas, sino díganme por que funciona la publicidad, vemos un comercial anunciando una deliciosa paleta y resulta difícil superar la tentación. Ahora bien, imaginen ver un vestido que nos quita el aliento, queremos tenerlo verdad? – Ese mismo o uno similar, pero se imaginan vivir añorando la moda vista en pasarelas sin el aliciente de poder lucir algo que nos haga sentir vigentes y parte de ese momento estético?

Algunas veces son de gourmet y otras de fast food, por analogía podemos aplicar lo mismo al vestuario, algunas veces nos consentimos con un lujo, pero para nuestro día a día es razonable ir por lo económico. Es allí cuando el retail es incluyente, proporcionando indumentaria inspirada en lo vigente, lo deseable y muy generalmente en lo de diseñador, por lo que comúnmente y en modo apresurado suele ser identificada como copy o plagio. pero puede en todos casos esta práctica ser tachada como tal?

Dejando de lado el sensible tema de mano de obra, ( que entre otras cosas no siempre tiene incidencia directa con lo económico de una prenda de vestir) y sin defender en ningún modo la replica exacta, es oportuno recalcar que mucha de la propuesta de diseñador que reina en la actualidad, no es tan original como podría esperarse sino inspirada, adaptada o reinventada, digamos por ejemplo que la ola flamenca rescatada por Balenciada en primavera verano 2013 ha sido una pauta a seguir por muchos otros disenadores y marcas, como igualmente considero que ninguno se puede adjudicar como propios el diseño de una bomber jacket, ni las populares blusas off the shoulder que existían mucho tiempo atrás. Ni hablar de los modelos de bolsos que varias marcas high end parecen compartir.

Entonces, debemos censurar el low cost? Desde luego que no, God bless low cost, hago este preámbulo como parte de una nota en desarrollo, pero pertinente para compartir con ustedes este atuendo, con la democracia del denim y por supuesto del low cost. Ya les había comentado que Zaful me había invitado a probar sus prendas y pueden ver mi primera impresión de esta tienda aqui. Como desde hace tiempo buscaba una maxi falda en denim tan pronto cuando vi esta en la pagina de Zaful me decidí, definitivamente una prenda para muchos años que además complace si se quiere lucir casual y airosa a la vez. He decidido combinarla con este top de hombros descubiertos cuyo detalle de bordes y cinta al cuello nos recuerda a algo de Proenza Schouler primavera 2016 y también algo que vi recientemente en Australia Fashion Week, inspirada pero no copia exacta, así que no hay tabú, – si algo similar esta entre tus tus antojos te invito a dar un vistazo a la pagina de Zaful!
