Leave something behind

(Español debajo) Just as it states at some point on the film Interestelar “To advance, you often have to leave something behind” –a Newton law that without a doubt can be applied to many fields of life….to win a competition athletes have to put some effort and sweat, – to acheive a tittle students have to leave behind chill out time and replace it with dedication; the ones seeking for success in far and away lands, often have to leave behind family and friends, and whoever wants to be in good shape have to leave behind the yummiest craves; yes, in life it takes to leave something behind to acheive a goal.

I´d like to go far in this topic, but given the fact that this is a Fashion Blog, I brought up this sentence because as any good principle  “To advance, you often have to leave something behind” can be applied by analogy to many other circumstances, even style; to advance in style often we should leave behind rusty habits at dressing up and more important – get out of our comfort zone; so, many would have to restart their minds and think that sexy is not equal to be exposed or half naked,  in one hand and to consider not going always by the safe way -as examples. Embracing new aesthetics and silhouettes we rarely think of could be a successful formula that can surprise us!

So, I use to follow that rule of loose up tide botton and vice versa for example,  and when carrying a midi skirt like most girls would probably pair it with something that makes the sillhouette stand out or a crop top like we´ve seen lately, but sometimes loose+loose works too; when I tried this asymmetric turtle neck sweater I though it would add some feeling of effortless elegance, gaining a polished and timeless pre – fall look that would serve to wander the streets of Rome in early Otober…what do you think ?

 Tal y como se cita en el filme Interestelar -“para poder avanzar tienes que dejar algo atrás” una ley de Newton que sin duda tiene aplicación en diferentes campos de la vida…. para ganar una carrera hay que dejar esfuerzo y sudor, para lograr un titulo hay que dejar atrás horas de ocio y cambiarlas por dedicación, quienes buscan nuevos rumbos en lugares lejanos deben dejar atrás familia y amigos, y sin ponernos tan melancólicos quieren estar en forma deben dejar atrás muchos caprichos del paladar; si, en la vida nos toca dejar atrás mucho en pro de una meta.

Quisiera ahondar mas en este tema, pero dado que este es un blog de moda, traigo a colación la frase porque como todo buen principio, eso de “para poder avanzar tienes que dejar algo atrás” puede ser aplicado por analogía a muchas otras facetas, incluso a la del estilo; para avanzar en nuestro estilo debemos dejar atrás hábitos oxidados al vestir y salir de nuestra zona de confort;  para ello algunas deben replantearse que sexy no siempre es mostrar piel, otras a no siempre ir por lo seguro. Adoptar otras estéticas y siluetas que rara vez consideraríamos puede ser una exitosa fórmula que puede sorprendernos.

Solía respetar eso de justo arriba-ancho debajo y viceversa, -por ejemplo al llevar una falda recta midi muchas pensaríamos en complementarla con un algo que delinee la silueta en la parte superior o con un crop top como lo vemos últimamente, pero algunas veces holgado + holgado tambien funciona; al medirme este suéter  cuello de tortuga con asimetrías pensé que podría acompañar casual pero elegantemente esta falda en tono marfil logrando una apariencia pulida, atemporal y sin esfuerzo -un look Pre fall que serviría para recorrer las calles de Roma a inicios de Octubre…
