Ocean Drive Highlights

I didn´t get a chance to post some photos from my last trip to Miami except for some outfit posts, but I thought I would share some highlights. Just like Timesquare is the place to be in NY, and Sunset Boulevard for LA, in Miami the must do ¨big name¨ spot leads you to “Ocean Drive”, a long walk beachside full of restaurants, bars and hotels of all types where no one will get bored, and where both locals and tourists enjoy some of the atmosphere´s Miami has to offer.  Of course the iconic beach seen many times in movies and TV was there, life seems to be nothing but fun for those taking advantage of it, taking delight in the clean blue waters and it´s surroundings offering swimmers, skaters, cyclists, walkers, runners and fitness freaks plenty to do. I had the chance to browse the area on a tourist bus to check out and not miss any details not so easily seen from street level and identify some spots to visit later – like “The Villa” which was Gianni Versace´s old house and sadly his last stop. Then next day it was time to hit the beach .

No había tenido oportunidad de publicar fotos de mi último viaje a Miami excepto por algunas notas de estilo, pero se me ocurrió compartir algunos destacados. Justo como Timesquare es imperativo en Nueva York, y Sunset Boulevard para Los Angeles, en Miami, la visita obligatoria te lleva a “Ocean Drive” un largo paseo al lado del mar lleno de restaurantes, bares y hoteles de todo tipo donde nadie se aburre, y donde propios y turístas disfrutan de la mejor atmosfera que Miami ofrece. Por supuesto la icónica playa vista tantas veces en películas y Tv está allí, la estancia es muy amena para aquellos que saben tomar ventaja de ello, difrutanto de las cálidas y azules aguas aledañas ofreciendo a los nadadores, patinadores, caminantes, corredores y fanáticos del fitness mucho por hacer. Yo visité el sitio  en un bus turístico la primera vez desde su segundo piso para no perderme detalle alguno y seleccionar algunos lugares para visitar después – como “The Ville” que fué la antigua casa del diseñador Gianni Versace y tristemente su última parada. Al día siguiente era tiempo de ir a la playa!

The Ville “Gianni Versace´s former house” was one of my selections for later on..and you can see what I wore for that event here

“Mia Bella Roma” has a wonderful atmosphere specially at night..You can enjoy the best of italian cuisine. What I loved the most was the flamenco show( I´m a big fan of that)  for my surprise given the fact this is an italian spot, here one shot from the dancer that night

“Mi Bella Roma” tiene una estupenda atmosfera especialmente de noche…donde puedes disfrutar las delicias de la cocina italiana. Lo que mas me gustó fué su show de flamenco (soy una fanática) para mi sorpresa, dado el hecho de que es un restaurante italiano. Aquí una foto de la danzante aquella noche

 And continuing with my tour ..this is what I wore, something practical to walk around before having a splash on the beach..

Y continuando con mi tour..esto es lo que llevé puesto, algo práctico para deambular por los alrededores antes de sumergirme en la playa..

Finally South Beach in front of my eyes..nice sand ..nice temperature and one of most beautiful colors I´ve ever seen on a beach

Finalmente “Sounth Beach” frente a mis ojos..linda arena, buena temperatura, y uno de los mas hermosos colores que haya visto en una playa
