Latest wardrobe additions with Charles & Keith
I know we haven’t had a typical start of Summer this year in Sydney with a considerable dose of grey skies and rain; But for what it’s worth, times are changing and colour restrictions are a thing of the past, with what it’s perfectly valid to carry bright colours year-round as long as you’re in the mood for it! Not that I wasn’t a fan already but recently I decided to venture with colour combinations inspired by the chromatic wheel – being purple and yellow opposites, sure a pairing of lilac and soft yellow it’s literally a match made in heaven!
Now I know not every colour works for everybody but in case you want to get out of your comfort zone with colours keeping in mind these tips will give you more confidence when exploring bold combinations:
– Consult the colour wheel: from this you can experiment with monochromatic, analogue, complementary and other accurate colour combos…
– Figure out if cold or warm colours are more suitable for you by examining your wrist… if you have a predominance of blue and violet veins then cold tones are suitable. If you observe more green veins then warm colours suit you better. A mix of both then you’re lucky to wear both however your hair eyes and undertones can also influence this…
– we can still get away with colours we love even when they’re not our suitable ones by using them away from our face….think bottoms, and accessories…
-keep experimenting and have fun!
