Chic is the new sexy

Expresarse a través del vestir y que dicho vestir hable bien de nosotros, …. esa es la cuestión. Cuando se trata de estilo las mujeres somos tan variadas como complejas y ciertamente mientras algunas son discretas, otras son sexys por naturaleza. Sin embargo algunas veces lo que debería ser una cualidad, se eclipsa con los excesos; si bien es cierto que hay momentos en los que un escote o minifalda son totalmente aceptables, algunas lo toman como habito y la noción de “sexy” cobra una connotación cliché que resume ropa minúscula y exceso de piel como carta de presentación.

A pesar de lo que muchas temen, dar paso a la madurez del vestir no implica lucir mayor o aburrida, por el contrario puede llevarnos a explorar nuestro estilo con rumbos estéticos mucho mas interesantes, un halo mas sofisticado  y por qué no, cosmopolita, – es tiempo de redefinir la coquetería, porque chic es la nueva versión de sexy.

Es así como el pulso de la moda global sugiere nuevas tendencias y siluetas  que si bien implican para muchas salir de la zona de confort pueden traducirse en evolución de imagen. Ya sea que tengas 25 o mas de 40, aquí están cinco basicos que no deben faltar en tu guardarropas y con los que podrás lucir tanto sexy como chic.

It is true that there are occasions  for  cleavage or miniskirts but sadly for some this becomes the general rule, taking minimal and impossibly tight clothing as a reference of sexy and as their usual credential.

Despite what some women might fear, giving precedence to a grown up way of dressing doesn´t imply looking older or boring, it can actually lead us to explore our style seeking a much more interesting, sophisticated and more cosmopolitan look, because it is time to redefine coquetry cos chic is the new version of sexy

The pulse of global fashion proposes new trends and silhouettes that although representing a “out of the comfort zone” move for many, can also be the path for image improvement. And for this post it matters not whether you are 25 or 40+, here are five key elements for your wardrobe to look sexy but above all chic!

1. Faldas Lapiz Las minifaldas son un clásico, pero solo si puedes hacer alarde de tus piernas, en cambio, una falda lápiz debajo de la rodilla puede ser tan sexy como sofisticada, y definitivamente un must  en el guardarropas femenino

Pantalones Culottes: Si no fueran el furor del momento pocas considerarían su uso, pero ya que las tendencias los apadrinan bien vale la pena considerar sus virtudes ya que proporcionan la comodidad de un pantalón con lo femenino de una falda, y que hacen de esta, una prenda muy versátil. TIP – Si eres petit, opta por un largo a la rodilla o apenas debajo de ella; tambien puedes ayudarte con patrones e impresos en rayas verticales que resultan muy favorecedores.

5. Culotte Pants. If it wasn´t for their popularity these days, very few would consider to wear culotte pants, but since current trends sponsor this type of pants why not to look at their benefits, such as combining the femenine allure of a skirt and a the comfiness of trousers, which makes of  this piece a very versatile one.

Tip – if you´re petit, go for the just below the knee length and also try the vertical tripes patterned which are more flattering and can make you look slender.
