Beauty Review - Argoil

It was a well kept secret from the Moroccan lands, where women trust their skin and hair care to a rare and exotic extract from the Argan Tree, but when scientists started to study and verify the potential and properties of Argan Oil, it rapidly became popular, not only for culinary and cosmetic use but for skin treatments.

High on Vitamin E and fatty acids Argan oil may be more resistant to oxidation than olive oil, depending on the extraction method, it’s also known for its anti-inflammatory properties. In cosmetics Argan oil is advocated as a moisturizing oil, against acne and flaking of the skin, as well as for ‘nourishing’ the hair. This oil has also medicinal uses against rheumatism and the healing of burns. Externally Argan oil is used to fortify and provide hair glow, and as a treatment of wrinkled or scaly dry skin.

But with so many labels out there claiming to offer the benefits of genuine Argan Oil, it is good to keep track of which ones are and are not genuine Argan Oil based. Since I started to try ARGOIL a few days ago I wanted to share my impressions of this beauty line.

As it’s name states it’s Argan Oil based, sourced in Morocco and made in Israel. Argoil offers hair treatments, skin care and beauty alternatives, some of which I’ll explain some more about it in the following segments.

Era un secreto muy bien guardado de la lejana tierra de Marruecos donde las mujeres desde tiempos ancestrales han confiado el cuidado de su piel y cabello a un exótico producto del Árbol de Argán, hasta que la ciencia se dedicó a estudiar y verificar el potencial y propiedades del Aceite de Argán, ganando rápidamente acogida y popularidad, no solo por su uso en la cosmética y culinaria, sino como tratamiento para algunas condiciones de la piel.

Con alto porcentaje de vitamina E y ácidos grasos no saturados, el Aceite de Argán puede ser mas resistente a la oxidación que el aceite de oliva – dependiendo de su método de extracción. En el area cosmética es conocido también por sus bondades antiinflamatorias y por su eficacia contra el acné y por ser un excelente hidratante para combatir la descamación de la piel. así como para fortalecer y brindar brillo al cabello. Pero sus virtudes se extienden hasta el area de la medicina en donde es empleado para tratar condiciones reumáticas y aliviar quemaduras.

Pero con tantas marcas en el mercado que prometen ofrecer los beneficios del Aceite de Argán, genuino, bien vale mirar de cerca cuales contienen el preciado ingrediente y cuales no. Dado que comencé a usar ARGOIL, hace varios días, quiero compartir mis impresiones sobre esta linea de cuidado y belleza.

Argan Treatment Oil – Pure argan oil is a 100% natural product, its richness in essential fatty acids and vitamin E make it efficient as a treatment against the appearance of wrinkles. It is ideal to nourish dry skin, It is also a good choice to treat frizz and dry hair, providing moisture and a silky glossy look with just a few drops.

If you ask me, this is my favourite, I found it works efficiently on dry skin. I have dry hands and feet even from an early age and if you add the cold temperatures from the recent winter here in Australia this only gets worse. But I noticed the Argan Treatment oil seems to work gently, and despite what you might think it doesn’t leave an oily appearance, it is rapidly absorbed and the dry, thick zones of my fingers feel soft and supple after a few minutes.

Tratamiento de Aceite de Argán – a base de puro Aceite de Argán, es un producto 100% natural, su riqueza en ácidos grasos esenciales y vitamina E, lo hacen eficiente en el tratamiento para combatir la apariencia de arrugas y lineas de expresión. Es ideal para nutrir la piel y además una excelente opción para tratar el frizz y el cabello seco.

Si me preguntan, este es mi favorito, encuentro que actúa eficientemente en la piel seca. En mi caso tengo manos y pies con dermis sensible y por ende seca, desde muy temprana edad, y si sumamos a ello las bajas temperaturas del invierno que tuvimos aquí en Australia solo parece empeorar. Pero noto que este tratamiento de Aceite de Argán, calma esa sensación áspera, y contrario a lo que pueda pensarse no deja una apariencia aceitosa, absorbiéndose rápidamente mientras que las zonas secas y gruesas de mis nudillos se sienten suaves y elásticas a los pocos minutos.

Eye Contour cream – Enriched with Moroccan Argan Oil. Created to treat delicate skin around the eyes and dark spots. We usually apply contour creams before going to bed but this one is for day use. After reading its list of ingredients I was happy to see a lack of harsh chemicals, instead we find shea butter, calendula and hamamelis. When applied below your eyes initially it might look a bit thick and dry, but absorbs fast minimizing the sagginess and fatigue look.

Crema para el contorno de ojos – Enriquecida con Aceite de Argán, y especialmente creada para tratar la delicada zona del contorno de ojos así como ojeras y manchas. Usualmente aplicamos este tipo de crema antes de ir a dormir, pero esta es para uso diurno. Luego de leer su lista de ingredientes me gustó constatar la ausencia de tóxicos químicos, en su lugar encontramos La manteca de karité ( extraida de la nuez de karité), caléndula, y Hamamelis entre otros. Al aplicarlo inicialmente puede parecer que no penetra bien o que es espeso y seco, pero también es de rápida absorción y reduce la apariencia de flacidez y fatiga tras una larga noche o falta de sueño.

Renew Face Cream. To treat wrinkles and other signs of aging. This product is made of moroccan argan oil and collagen building ingredients. Regular use rejuvenates skin cells for a younger and tighter complexion. Generally I would give it a longer period of trial and error before giving an accurate review of results, but so far the best result I’ve found is that my face looks more awake and tighter the morning after.

Crema renovadora para tratar arrugas y otros signos de envejecimiento, a base de Aceite de Argán e ingredientes constructores de colágeno. Su uso regular rejuvenece las celulas de la piel brindado una apariencia mas juvenil y firmeza. Generalmente daría un tiempo mas prolongado antes de dar una reseña responsable, pero debo decir que durante el tiempo de uso mi cutis luce mas despierto y firme a la mañana siguiente de aplicar el producto.

Renew Hair Mask – This is a hair treatment that I decided to test as well. Unlike other common Argan Oil based hair products this one felt a bit different once applied, it didn’t have the slimy texture of similar hair masks or conditioners, it felt thick but I noticed it actually made my hair feel stronger when washed out, Complemented with a few drops of Argan Treatment oil it works beautifully and gives a healthy appearance to my hair.

Mascarilla renovadora capilar – Este es un tratamiento capilar que también quise incluir en mi test. Contrario a otros productos capilares a base de Aceite de Argán que abundan en el mercado, con este no vas a sentir la textura limosa que otras mascarillas y acondicionadores suelen tener, al contrario este se siente algo seco y espeso, (si se siente diferente, algo diferente ha de aportar cierto?) de hecho al enjuagar y secar noté que mi cabello estaba mas fuerte y complementado con unas gotas del tratamiento de Aceite de Argán puro, funciona de maravilla dando una apariencia mas saludable y brillante.
