Zhivago Resort 17 – Australian Fashion Week

Fashion Week is over but the memories prevail, It was the second night of the schedule, the runway? – Zhivago. For those unaware of the beginnings of this brand it is the vision of two lifetime friends Lara Kovacevich and Lydia Tsvetnenko, which from 2012 has quickly became one of Australia’s most acclaimed labels, worn by celebs such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Giuliana Rancic and Jennifer Hawkins.

Zhivago’s signature tailoring and edgy allure speak the language of a sexy yet sophisticated woman, for the resort edition of MBFWA it continued with a daring femme fatale infuse. But first a big dose of drama and extravaganza to get us in sync with the collections concept as we were surprised with a musical permormance by Theatre star Christie Whelan-Brown.

One by one zhivago designs were daring, silhouettes revealing but with taste and sophistication, where sequined and metallic textures are key notes for a sumptuous allure. We loved the hooded garments which bring the wow factor and stand out as a trend. The sheer gowns left little to the imagination and demand a perfect figure to be carried gracefully but are definitely red carpet worthy.

La semana de la moda ha concluido, pero las memorias prevalecen. Era la segunda noche de la programación, la pasarela ? Zhivago, -para aquellos al otro lado del Pacifico, esta marca es la vision de dos amigas de toda la vida,  Lara Kovacevich y Lydia Tsvetnenko y que desde 2012 rapidamente se ha convertido en una de las marcas mas aclamadas de Australia, llevada por celebrdades como Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Giuliana Rancic and Jennifer Hawkins.

Con un tallaje distintivo y toque atrevido Zhivago habla el lenguaje de una mujer sexy y sofisticada, en la edición resort de la reciente MBFWA continuó con ese influjo de femme fatale, no sin antes impregnarnos de una buena dosis de drama y extravaganza para sincronizar con el tema de la colección, sorprendiéndonos con un musical a cargo de la estrella de teatro Christie Whelan-Brown.

Uno a uno los diseños de Zhivago se mostraron exquisitamente osados, las siluetas reveladoras pero sofisticadas con textiles metalizados y texturizados con lentejuelas como notas clave para un look suntuoso. Gustaron los atuendos encapuchados que ademas de misterio trajeron el factor wow y destacaron como tendencia. Los ajuares transparentes dejaron poco a la imaginación y ciertamente demandan una muy buena figura para ser llevados con gracia pero definitivamente material para deslumbrar en una alfombra roja.
