Walk Like a Geisha

This might be some of the most audacious, bold and exotic footwear seen on catwalks and premieres.  Some magazines are insisting it´s a forward looking fashion trend, others would agree it´s totally backwards in the good sense. Looking back at japanese culture, this new design is a reinvention of the “Okobos”, a characteristic type of wooden platforms used  by geishas. Many designers and brands are already going with the flow, Prada launched their unconventional creations and some celebs are already fans of this style. Would you like to wear something like this to be ahead in fashion, or would you rather give it a miss?

Este podría ser uno de los mas audaces, intrépidos y exoticos estilos de calzado visto en pasarelas y premieres. Algunos insisten en que es una tendencia evolutiva, pero yo estoy de acuerdo con los que seguro advierten sus razgos ancestrales. Si echamos una mirada a la cultura japonesa, este nuevo diseño viene a ser una reinvención de los Okobos, el característico calzado hecho de madera usado por las geishas. Diseñadores y marcas ya se suman a la tendencia y uno se sus precursores Prada lanzó su  creación poco convencional y algunas celebridades ya se suman a la fanaticada de este estilo.  Te atreves a llevar algo así por ir a la par de la moda o pasas?
