TFW Look 4 – Flare Pants & Army Jacket

Comfort vs style goals, – vestment might not be a major concern for many out there when it comes to travelling, but when our journey involves an important event and we want to look our best a simple outfit takes into consideration many things, and there may be some gambling involved when it comes to unpredictable weather, meteorology is hardly a precise science and i’ve been caught out more than once by poor predictions, reality often gets us out of our comfort zone.

Therefore some of us prefer to travel with excess baggage because of the “Just in Case” factor. Between my event schedule, tourism and of course local weather I gave up my initial style goals to finally settle for comfort and convenience (I was in Tokyo, and it would’ve been a crime just to sit and watch shows..I wanted to look around). With rainy days and low temperatures the spring dresses and shoes I took with me remained in my suitcase.

How can you not love these pants? Flare and slit but above all chic, and paired with the green army jacket gets turned into strong and cosmopolitan attire. Certainly a convenient option both for mild spring and autumn days or as in my case perfect for the only proper sunny day during this visit to Tokyo, but some vicious winds that almost get me undressed (Yes, when you wear a slit you are supposed to show a bit of skin here and there, battling the wind in such clothes hardly classifies as graceful, if I make myself clear) give me no other option than to get back to the hotel and put on some more ergonomically friendly clothing to wander around in my spare time, but obviously I did take a moment to capture some images for the oufit post, hope you like it!

Comodidad versus intención de estilo – Puede que para muchos el vestuario no sea de mayor interés al momento de viajar, pero si nuestra travesía implica un evento importante y queremos lucir a tono, un simple atuendo implica consideraciones que pueden ser toda una apuesta si tambien queremos anticipar el clima impredecible, ya que aún con conocimiento de las estaciones y consultando el tiempo del destino a visitar, la realidad suele ponernos en aprietos.

Por ende algunas preferimos ir con exceso de equipaje en atención al ” por si acaso”: Entre menesteres de pasarelas, turismo y por supuesto el clima local, mis pretenciones estilísticas iniciales cedieron ante la conveniencia y comodidad. Con varios dias de lluvia y baja temperatura los vestidos y zapatos primaverales que llevé se quedaron sin lucir y por poco el look de hoy.

Como no enamorarse del estilo de este pantalón? amplio, elegante y sexy gracias a su amplia abertura, que  en asocio con la chaqueta en verde militar logra un aire fuerte y cosmopolita; ciertamente un look apto tanto en primavera como en un dia promedio de otoño, y en este caso perfecto para uno los pocos dias de sol que tuvimos durante nuestra visita a Tokyo, de no ser porque el fuerte viento por poco me desviste, ( si, obvio que el pantalón de amplias aberturas es para mostrar algo de piel, pero con gracia al andar, no como quien pelea con la brisa, si me hago entender,) con lo que después de dos compromisos en la mañana volvi al hotel por un cambio mas cómodo que me permitiera recorrer la ciudad en horas libres, no sin antes capturar algunas imágenes para la nota de atuendo espero que les guste!
