Summer Vibes

When it comes to changing up the routine there are places plenty generous in landscapes to the extent where one needs not to take a plane to enjoy paradise like locations and feelings of never ending vacations. Sydney is a priviledged city gifted with outstanding urban spots as well as dreamy water scenarios. With summer officially here beaches are in the plans of pretty much anyone who´s keen to enjoy the warmer weather, and there are options aplenty for every taste, from jam-packed locations with a party atmosphere to those with a more quiet and relaxed ambiance.

It wouldn´t be fair to portray Sydney with the beach and sun cliché, but although its inner city hubs are exciting and vibrant, to dive into the deep blue waters, take in some sun, have a surf or a pleasant walk by the rocky shore is an apt description of the idyllic summers Sydney is proud to host. Last weekend I had a dose of that by heading to the eastern beaches, which feature outstanding views and attractive natural rock pools, if you´re lucky you can even find a high spot with privacy where to delight yourself with the amazing view.

Cuando se trata de romper con la rutina, existen lugares tan generosos en paisajes que no hace falta tomar un avión para disfrutar de locaciones paradisíacas y sentirse como en eternas vacaciones.. Sydney es una de esas ciudades privilegiadas que gozan tanto de interesantes epicentros urbanos como paisajes acuáticos de ensueño. Con la entrada en firme del verano, las playas constituyen el destino predilecto de propios y visitantes, con escenarios para todos los gustos, desde las concurridas con una atmósfera mas festivo, hasta las un poco mas apartadas y de ambiente relajado.

Sería poco resumir a Sydney con aquello de playa brisa y mar,  aunque sus epicentros mas citadinos y céntricos resultan atrayentes, tomar el sol durante una caminata por las rocosas orillas, y sambullirse en sus azules aguas, y por supuesto la escena surfista son descripción realista del verano idilico que Sydney ostenta;  el fin de semana pasado quise probar algo de ello recorriendo el paisaje de las playas del este, que como muchos otros en la ciudad se destaca por las piscinas de rocas que ofrecen placidas estancias – y si buscas bien, miradores que se elevan desde el nivel del mar, sobre los cuales se puede disfrutar de un panorama insuperable.
