Street Style from New York Fashion Week

When it comes to Fashion week what generically is refered to as “Street style” is a compilation of all types of urban outfits even if they´re not consistent with current circumstances. It is also true that harsh winter conditions in NY this year have been an issue so perhaps some of the captured images do not obey the true nature of the “ street Style ” as it really should be conceived, the reality outside Lincoln Center and the city in general with the intense cold and winds forces the Big Apple dwellers and visitors alike to dress almost as if they lived in antartica, however some of the braver attendees arrived in appropriate fashionable outfits for whom glamour or Audacity was the priority. Fur was constant but for the relief of many animal activists there was a lot of “Faux Fur” – I reiterate that I do not intend to impose point of views rather just share my impressions. So here are some outfits seen around Lincoln Center, the few brave enough to loiter the plaza rather than rush in and out between events, my respects to those who remained brave in light of the circumstances, especially photographers.

Para efectos de la Semana de la Moda denominamos genéricamente como “street style” toda recopilación de atuendos urbanos, así no sean acordes con las circunstancias; si bien es cierto que asistir a un evento como Fashion Week ameriza esmero y por que no – gala (tratándose de las celebridades), tambien es cierto que las inclementes temperaturas han hecho de las suyas, por lo que algunas capturas de imágenes no obedecen a la verdadera naturaleza del “street Style” como realmente se le debe concebir, teniendo en cuenta el clima que atraviesa la ciudad de Nueva York por estos días, la realidad fuera de Lincoln Center es otra: el intenso frío obliga a los habitantes la Gran Manzana a vestir casi que de modo esquimal; algunos asistentes hacían arribo en atuendos pertinentes pero acordes con el clima, en otros casos el glamour o audacia fué la prioridad. La piel, para desagravio de muchos animalistas fue la constante, aunque se aprecia la tendencia por la falsa – reitero que no pretendo imponer puntos de vistas, simplemente compartir mis impresiones. Así que sin pretensiones de fotógrafa experimentada aquí les dejo algunas de mis tomas, – en pocas oportunidades claro está, – mis respetos para quienes permanecieron estoicos a las afueras de los escenarios, en especial los fotógrafos.
