Trendy is the last stage before tacky – Karl Lagerfeld;  but sometimes trendy can be classic, I say 

Fashions go around and come around and with their current rhythm those who are keen to keep up with the latest must get onboard if they want to join the momentum – Trends have their chronology and with the exception of a few trendsetters who know before most what´s on next season, seemingly very few dare to carry fashions when they arrive yet the masses are encouraged to wear them when the trend is wasted.

It is always a woman´s right and priviledge to add the newest goods to our wardrobe, but to set us free from the hassle of having this or that simply because it´s trendy atm; sometimes it is better to go for the classic and timeless.

But perhaps one of those recent trends with definite possibilities as a “basic” is the sleeveless Coat, along with the sleeveless blazer. Needless to say it´s a wardrobe item with an ambiguous quality – elegant and utilitarian, and a key piece to add a more interesting allure to our simple ensembles without over doing it. Here I´m sharing this outfit where the star item is this black sleeveless coat which pulls off this monochromatic set. For the office, social life or simply to wander in style, the sleeveless coat is here to stay.

Tips

– The sleeveless coat goes with pretty much everything (jeans, pants, skirts) but looks great with culotte pants

– To make this piece stand out and to favour your silhouette (if you´re not tall) use it combined with just one color like I did

– If you´re not tall choose the length just below the knee as your ideal coat length.

Modas van modas vienen y en ese vaivén quienes se proponen a estar a la moda deben hacer una cruzada maratónica en pro del momentum – la moda desde el punto de vista de tendencias tiene su cronología, porque con excepción  de los trendsetters quienes son advertidos de que será furor, pocos se atreven a llevar la moda que llega y muchos la llevan cuando muere.

Es siempre un derecho femenino incorporar lo fresco a nuestro estilo, pero en pro de liberarnos del afán de llevar esto y lo otro para luego desecharlo porque no va mas, (al menos por un buen tiempo) es mejor optar por lo atemporal y cuando se trate de hacer inversiones que no sea en modas pasajeras.

Pero quizá una de las recientes tendencias que por sus bondades se queda como básico es el Sleeveless Coat, junto con su hermano menor sleeveless blazer ( abrigo sin mangas y blazer sin mangas respectivamente). Sobra decir que es un elemento salvador con una cualidad dual, capaz de conferir tanto elegancia como utilitarismo. Un elemento ideal para darle un aura mas interesante a nuestros dúos de falda/pantalón y tops sin que represente mayor recargo incluso en verano. Aquí les comparto este ensamble en donde la prenda estrella es ciertamente un abrigo sin mangas con el que logro darle un aura mas interesante a la mera falda y top. Sobra decir cuan multifacético resulta – Para la oficina, para la vida social o simplemente para deambular por allí, el sleeveless coat llegó para quedarse.

Tips:

– El sleeveless coat puede ir tanto con faldas como con jeans y pantalones, pero se va de maravillas con pantalones culottes aportando una estetica muy sartorial.

– Para resaltar tu pieza y jugar con la verticalidad a favor de tu estatura llevala contrastada con un solo tono

– Si no eres alta procura llevarlo solo hasta la rodilla como tu máximo largo ideal.
