How to Wear – The right leather pants for your type of body

It is a fact, not every garment style suits every type of body – true to some extent, while there are flattering and recommended silhouettes for every anatomy out there, ultimately who is the authority to say “you can’t wear that” No one, right? Somehow it is a type of discrimination because, in other words, it’s like saying “you aren’t as skinny and tall” like the model in the catalog, right? But see, there are always ways to defeat the odds, because appearance strongly rely on illusions. So what do we do? We make the best use of proportions because your size and height count too.

And I’m not talking about sizes exactly,  let’s call it a “demanding garments” thing; just as a deep cleavage or backless dress demands a breast that defeats gravity or skillful use of magic tape, leather pants demand the right fit, otherwise, you won’t even be able to seat, why? Precisely because they’re leather pants, no cotton pants, no stretch pants,  and certainly no denim pants- which as we know, get better and comfy with continuous use.

So, are leather pants for everyone? Yes, if we look for the right fit and silhouette. For this post, let’s assume that most skinny girls don’t have issues with leather pants, so this post is dedicated to those (included me) who find it hard to find the perfect fit when it comes to leather pants.

******

If you are petite with fuller thighs

Whether you are lean but muscular or simply a small size yet no ultra “skinny”, bell leg leather pants are a recommended choice. While the usual “skinny style” will emphasize your thighs, a bell bottom line would balance your silhouette while giving you the chance to conceal high heels in case you want to look taller.

Hourglass body and fuller thighs

If this is your case, of course you can rock leather pants, but they shouldn’t look glued to your thighs,  the Cigarette or Straight Fit will give you a sartorial appearance, tight enough to show your silhouette but loose enough to provide you a sophisticated look.

Pear type of body

If your hips and backside are wider than your shoulders. You are happy with your body but your middle area looks too exposed when you wear tight clothes, then choose a Peg style Pants preferably with loose fit and high waisted
