Homanz – Handbags to break the mold
In matters of style bags are a strong accent when it comes to putting together our looks, but as it turns out sometimes it is boring to go for the so called it bags. Time to break the mold with something different, that´s why I´m always in search of new bag brands that harness all the elements we look for, aesthethics, quality and a certain dash of luxury -without going to excess of course. One of my latest finds is Homanz.
HOMANZ is a handbag brand with a blend of contemporary and classic style, simple outlook and timeless design, which unfolds the elegance and inner beauty of modern women. I took my time browsing their site and found a good variety of models, from eye catching to minimalistic they all stand out for an interesting and original design
En materia de estilo, los bolsos son un poderoso acento al momento de complementar nuestros looks, pero resulta a veces resulta monótono ir por los tan llamados It bags; es tiempo de romper el molde con lo diferente, por ello siempre estoy atenta y en la busqueda de nuevas marcas de bolsos que reunan lo que tanto buscamos en ese objeto de deseo, como estetica, calidad y por que no, un sentido de lujo – sin llegar a extremos claro esta, – uno de mis recientes hallazgos es Homanz
Homanz es una marca de bolsos que combina diseño clasico y contemporaneo con formas simples y atemporales, revelando la elegancia y belleza inherente de la mujer moderna. Tomé un buen tiempo navegando su pagina web y encontré una buena variedad de modelos, desde los llamativos a minimalistas, todos sobresalen por su original e interesante diseño.
The brand was launched by Shirley Tsang in Japan 2006 where the original and trendy designs rapidly gained attention. Since then Shirley has established collaborations with many labels such as with the famous Japanese Cosmetic “Mitsui” to design a cosmetics bag collection, and with MIKIMOTO Cosmetics for their VIP Premium Program from 2010 to 2012. The brand has stepped into important fashion fairs like Nolcha fashion week in New York and has been featured in popular asian magazines. Of late Homanz bag are gaining popularity among celebs and fashion bloggers.
La marca fue lanzada por Shirley Tsang en Japón en 2006, donde sus distintivos diseños rapidamente captaron la atención. Desde entonces Shirley y ha establecido colaboraciones como la famosa marca japonesa Mitsui en la elaboración de una colección de bolsas cosméticas, y con MIKIMOTO para su programa Vip premium durante 2010-12. Homanz ha llegado a semanas de la moda como Nolcha Fashion Week en Nueva York y ha sido destacada en diferentes medios impresos en el continente asiático, sumado a su creciente popularidad entre personalidades y blogueras de moda
About the designer
Shirley developed a strong interest in handbags since she was young, when she observed her dad working conscientiously in the production of handbags. She completed her diploma of Fine Arts in Australia and obtained a bachelor degree of Fine Arts and Design in Canada. In order to broaden her horizon and knowledge she worked in an advertising agency after graduation.

Shirley desarrolló un fuerte interés en el mundo de los bolsos desde muy temprana edad, al observar a su padre mientras trabajaba en la producción de bolsos y carteras. Ella completó diploma en Fine Arts en Australia y obtuvo el titulo en Fine Arts and Design en Canadá. Con el propósito de ampliar su horizonte y conocimiento, trabajó en una agencia de publicidad luego de graduarse y motivada por su padre fundó su propio taller de arte en 1999 pero cerró debido a la crisis económica de 2003 en Hong Kong
The Story
Embraced with curiosity and enthusiasm towards handbag production and design, Shirley longed to work in her father’s factory at a very young age. She used her own effort to make a unique and special wallet as a birthday present for her father. Shirley’s father was moved and finally granted her a chance to learn handbags manufacturing. Since then Shirley started learning the business in her spare time after work and kept practicing her design techniques by making handbags as presents for her mother and friends. The gifts had gained her lots of credits and praise from her acquaintances. In 2006, full of passion and talent in stylish and fashionable design, Shirley created what today is the brand “Homanz”.
La historia
Llena de curiosidad y entusiasmo hacia el diseño y producción de bolsos, Shirley trabajó en el taller de su padre desde muy temprana edad; allí elaboró una billetera como presente de cumpleaños a su padre. En su tiempo libre luego de trabajar se dedicaba a aprender los gajes del oficio practicando con diseños que eventualmente se convertían en presentes para su familia y amigos. Mas que las gracias, dichos obsequios gozaron de buena reputación entre conocidos llevándola en 2006 a crear la marca conocida hoy como Homanz

Ipthnak you for your reply Scarlett but I’ve looked on that page but still can’t find the bag anywhere…it’s a beautiful bag and covered in what I think is pony hair or goat hair…ibe looked and looked but can’t find another one like it x
