Athena says the reason why they chose to work only with organic clothes is because the advantages are numerous, as opposed to conventional. Organic, eco-fabrics have no chemical treatment while conventional fabrics because of a chemical treatment, which they are subject to, destroy the environment. Moreover, it might ultimately cause skin allergies: eco-fabrics do not harm the skin and the body and allow the skin to breathe. Eco-fabrics are certified by GOTS Global certification organizations and produced under the laws of Fair Trade, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment without discrimination or degrading treatment and is providing revenue for families. In addition, the exploitation of children is prohibited, they can not be forced to work and social transparency is ensured. We can change the way we think as citizens and we should be sensitive about the environment. There are several ways to protect the environment and the planet we live in and buying organic clothing is one of them. It is not enough to just recycle our garbage but we must look for alternative ways to maintain a balance and we ensure a better future for our children and the generations to come.

En trends Vip invitamos a todos a ser comprometidos con las futurs generaciones, y en materia de moda son muchas cosas las que pueden hacerse mejor y compenzar al medio ambiente, tales como el uso de materiales ecológicos, tal y como lo han venido haciendo Athena Bentila y Rolland Wakker desde 2009 cuando nació MuMu Organic; la marca se enfoca en vestidos hechos a mano, meticulosos acabados, producidos localmente en Grecia y ante todo con un compromiso de comercio justo y uso de materiales organicos.

Athena sostiene que la razón por la que escoge trabajar con dichos materiales es por sus múltiples ventajas frente a los convencionales. Las telas orgánicas y respetuosas con el medio ambiente, no tienen procesos químicos, en tanto que las convencionales al si tenerlos destruyen el medio ambiente. Mas aún, podría en últimas causar alergias en la piel: los materiales orgánicos no afectan la piel y le permiten respirar. Dichos materiales están certificados por GOTS ( Global Certification organizations ) y producidas bajo leyes de comercio justo asegurando un sano y justo ambiente de trabajo sin discriminaciones o tratamiento degradante y está generando sustento familiar. En adicion la explotación de menores está prohibida. Podemos cambiar el modo en que pensamos como ciudadanos y debemos ser sensibles acerca del medio ambiente.
