Ten essentials for your beach day
Certainly, the summer scenes in magazines editorials are inspiring, with goddesses in bikini and high heels strutting around the pool or looking splendid in the sand of the sea; But lest face it, as much as we try to look flawless on a beach day or summer holidays, our mascara melts, hair is a disaster, and for worst our skin does not have airbrush effect as models. After all they get some help from fotoshop, while we are live and under killing temperature with not fan to strike a pose, not to mention irritated skin and wet or sticky hair. To this cruel reality, we can take some measures to look decent and if possible fresh in those beach days or vacations. Given the hurry to arrive on time it is common to forget more than one thing, so keep in mind the following list of essentials:
Ciertamente, las escenas veraniegas en editoriales de revistas resultan inspiradoras, con diosas en bikini y tacones altos pavoneándose por la piscina o luciendo esplendorosas en la arena del mar; pero admitámoslo, por mucho que tratemos de lucir impecables en un día de playa o vacaciones de verano, siempre se nos corre el rímel, el cabello es un desastre, y como si fuera poco nuestra piel no luce con efecto de aerosol como la de las modelos…después de todo a ellas les dan una ayudita de fotoshop mientras nosotras estamos en vivo y en temperatura real, osea transpiración, piel irritada y cabello húmedo o pegajoso… ante la cruel realidad, podemos tomar algunas medidas para al menos lucir decentes y en lo posible frescas en nuestras vacaciones. Es frecuente salir del hotel y por la prisa de llegar a tiempo olvidas mas de una cosa, por ello debes tener bien presente la siguiente lista de indispensables:
1 – Sunblock : with so much hustle, tours and photos…Maybe there won´t be much time to buy it and by the time you realize your skin will be sunbourned. / Bloqueador: con tanto ajetreo, recorridos y fotografías..tal vez no te de tiempo de comprarlo y cuando ya lo decidas tu piel estará chamuzcada.
2- Sunglasses, more than fashion accessory, they protect your eyes from glare. / Gafas de sol, mas que accesorio de moda, para proteger tu vista del resplandor
3 – A bottle of water: with the temperature caused by direct exposure to the Sun’s rays, keep yourself hydrated will prevent discomfort at the end of the day such as headache and others associated with dehydration after many hours under the Sun/ Una botella de agua: con la temperatura causada por la exposición directa a los rayos del sol, mantenerte hidratada ayudará a prevenir malestares al terminar el día como el dolor de cabeza y otros asociados a la deshidratación tras muchas horas bajo el sol
4- Lipbalm to protect your lips from dryness and also works as make up retouch. / Una barra de manteca de cacao para proteger los labios de la resequedad, que igualmente actúa como retoque cosmético.
5 – Styling cream: Probably if you´re on the beach and feel like having a good plung and after shower your hair wont look that good. The semi wet hair look provided by styling cream would perfeclty match your summer outfit. /Crema de peinar. Probablemente si estas de playa se te da por una zambullida, y luego de lavar tu cabello no lucirá acondicionado; el look semi húmedo que brinda la crema de peinar se llevará de maravilla con tu atuendo veraniego
6 – Aloe Gel to calm your skin after possible sunburns. Gel de aloe, para calmar tu piel por posibles insolaciones.
7 – Pareo: a key accesorie if you want to change looks with the same piece, is the best friend as a beach wrap by day and easily made into a dress by night / Pareo: el mejor aliado a la hora de cambiar de look, es un accesorio que te ayuda como salida de baño durante el día, y como vestido durante la noche.
8 – Water proof mascara: make up would be one less thing to worry about while you´re at the beach. /Pestañina a prueba de agua, para que tengas algo menos de que preocuparte mientras estas en el mar.
9- Might be obvious but many times we forget about hats, best protection for our faces under sun /Parecería obvio pero muchas veces olvidamos el sombrero, la mejor protección para nuestro rostro bajo el sol.
10- Comfy Sandals for your walks: very often for vanity we rather plataforms and they eventually hurt our feet for the rest of day /Sandalias cómodas para tus caminatas: muchas veces por vanidad preferimos algo mas alto y terminamos con los pies maltratados para el resto del día.

Last but not least, a bag big enough to carry it all, and sufficiently chic to be used by night ! / Por último asi un bolso lo suficientemente grande para llevarlo todo y suficientemente chic como para usarlo en el resto de tus jornadas veraniegas!
