TFW Look 3 - Cherry Blossom

As you probably noticed if you´ve visited my Instagram lately, this year´s fashion adventure took me to Japan; a lifetime dream come true which being in Australia made this – a once far and away land – a closer destination. Aside from my excitement from experiencing a glimpse of the fashion industry through fashion week in this part of the world I was equally thrilled to explore the beauty and wonders of Tokyo…

Needless to say how amazing this city is, so many highlights that I wished I had stayed longer, but In between shows I made the most of my time and squeezed in as much as I could with a net result of priceless memories. Although It was supposedly the beginning of spring the city welcomed us with some wild weather in the form of wind and rain that made me go for a cozy coat (another pink coat by the way) hoping to match Tokyo´s magnificent spring bloom, and luckily the cold temperatures didn´t stop the first trees from blossoming, making it possible to score a few graceful and memorable images…..

In no particular order I´ll be sharing some looks and insight from TFW, for now I´d like to start with this outfit that I particulary love as it matches the beautiful cherry blossom trees I found on my way….

Como ya lo habrán notado si han visitado mi Instagram últimamente, la aventura de moda este año me llevó a Japón; un sueño de toda la vida que consideraba un tanto remoto, pero estando en Australia, la tierra que una vez me resultara poco viable se tornó un destino mas cercano; ciertamente además de complacida por vivir de cerca el evento mas importante de esta industria en esta parte del mundo, estaba igualmente emocionada por explorar la belleza y maravillas de Tokyo…

Me quedo corta en adjetivos que describan cuan maravillosa es esta ciudad, con sus tantos lugares y aspectos por destacar, que habría querido quedarme por mas tiempo, pero entre shows, saque el mayor provecho de mi tiempo y recopilé invaluables memorias. Aunque era el inicio oficial de la primavera, la ciudad nos recibió con un clima inclemente que me hizo ir por abrigos, entre ellos este rosado ( otro abrigo rosa por cierto ) con la esperanza de coincidir con el magnifico florecer de Tokyo en esta temporada, afortunadamente la baja temperatura no impidió que algunos arboles precoces complacieran mis anhelos asegurando unas hermosas imágenes para perpetuar el momento.

Sin orden en particular estaré compartiendo algunos looks de este episodio y desde luego todas las impresiones de Tokyo Fashion Week, pero por ahora comienzo con este atuendo que me gusta en particular, porque como mencioné juega maravillosamente con los arboles de Cherry Blossom que encontré en mi camino…

While visiting the Ueno Park, famous for its spring cherry blossoming ( we didn´t see its whole splendor ) it was heart warming to see how well cats appear to be treated Japan. It is common to see people feeding them and adoring them in public places; this furry one was enjoying the attention of quote a few people, some arriving with treats…then I couldn´t help rubbing his fluffy tummy…

Mientras visitaba el Parque Ueno, famoso por su inigualable florecer en primavera ( no podimos verlo en pleno esplendor ) fue un regocijo ver cuan queridos y respetados son los gatos en Japón. Es común ver a las personas alimentarlos y admirarlos en lugares públicos si deambulan o viven allí; este peludito disfrutaba de la atención y snaks de varias personas, cuando terminaron no pude evitar acariciar su pancita…
