Floral dress

They say Earth laughs in flowers, ..so when you wear a floral dress, you´re smiling too…

(Spanish Below) Here in Sydney, with the seasons in opposite compared to what in terms of fashion commonly rules these days in different corners of the world, I attempt to get in sync with the northern hemisphere whenever the temperature allows, this time with a floral dress anticipating spring or maybe faking summer, and with a very neat and nice Royal Botanic Gardens as a backdrop. Although Miranda Priestly in Devil Wears Prada would say ” Florals, for spring? – Groundbreaking..”.  to emphasize florals bring nothing new to the current season,  truth be told -more than a timeless garment a floral dress is attitude!  One has to be in the mood to wear one, and just as I read somewhere… ” Earth laughs in flowers, ..so when you wear a floral dress, you´re smiling too…”. In spring or summer and just as we´ve seen in the colder months with proper shades, floral print is a woman´s must have.

The Dress

Although I rarely wear prints I was hooked by this gorgeous dress from Ever Pretty, which actually looks exactly as in the website, but once in my hands it was so much better… sumptuous fabric, beautiful pleated top and padded enough for a “no bra” option just in case you worry about which bra to use due its back cleavage. Definitely a suitable option for an event or special ocassion; eye catching yes, but not over the top for a day time situation with casual footwear and hair do…floral is always a good idea..

Featuring Ever Pretty Dress

Si la tierra sonríe con flores, las mujeres también sonreímos al llevar un vestido floral….

Aunque estoy en tierras lejanas y con las estaciones en sentido contrario a lo que comúnmente viven por estos días en otros rincones del mundo, procuro sincronizarme con el otro hemisferio en términos de tendencias cuando un día de temperatura amable así me lo permite, esta vez con un vestido floral anticipándome a la primavera o quizá simulando el verano y con el hermoso Jardín Botánico de Sydney como cómplice. Aunque Miranda Priestly en Devil Wears Prada diría ” Florals, for spring? Growndbracking” para expresar que un estampado floral no es nada nuevo en esta estación, lo cierto es que mas que una prenda atemporal, el vestido floral es actitud, una tiene que estar de muy buenos ánimos para vestir uno, como dice la frase, “la tierra sonríe con flores…”  podemos vestirnos de alegría con el simbolismo del estampado floral, en primavera o verano y como también se ve en los meses fríos con las tonalidades adecuadas,

The Dress

Sin ser una persona de estampados, al ver este maxi vestido de Ever Pretty quedé prendada por su colorido y a la vez sutil diseño; a diferencia de otras experiencias al comprar online, al tenerlo en mis manos resultó ser lo que esperaba y mucho mas, hermoso textil, copas prehormadas y lindo detalle plisado en el top que hacen de el un vestido apropiado en la noche, pero igualmente acertado en una situación am con calzado casual
